THE PROGRAM
In an effort to strengthen the academic cooperation among three universities, we are pleased to announce the program of Law & Culture 2023 that will take place at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya, Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Jakarta, and Faculty of Law, Universität Leipzig, Germany, with the theme “Taking Perspectives. Understanding Others and Social Cohesion in Times of Increasing Polarization”
The selected 4 (four) students from each university will join the lectures, excursions and workshop. At the end of the program, the students are expected to complete a simulation game in which a public hearing on a social conflict is re-enacted with the thematic focus about what they have learned during the whole program in Indonesia and Germany.
THE PARTICIPANTS
All 4 (Four) students will be selected and receive funding from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya and Leipzig University for the following expenses:
- Round-trip airline ticket
- Accommodation and living allowance in Germany
- Accommodation in Jakarta
Please note that all selected students must pay their own expenses regarding health insurance and passport/visa application fees. They must also pay their expenses when applying for Visa in Jakarta.
REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY
The applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Law students of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs of the years 2019 until 2021;
- Prohibited to graduate and take the comprehensive/final exam until the end of the Program on 31 November 2023 (please complete and sign “Surat Perjanjian” at the end of this flyer)
- Minimum GPA of 3.00 (proven by a legalized transcript, submit transcript request here);
- Provide a motivational letter;
- At least two years old TOEFL score of 500, issued by an institution recognized by the Brawijaya University;
- Pass the selection and interview process;
- Submit hardcopy of the Surat Perjanjian (Download here), the latest academic transcript (legalized), motivational letter and TOEFL score no later than 6 March 2023 to the International Relations Office (IRO) or Secretary Dean at Building A, 5th floor FHUB no later than 09.00am WIB.
