National Seminar and Symposium related to the Role of the Indonesian Supreme Court and the Attorney General’s Office in developing the Judicial Practice Proficiency Course in Indonesia

The Law Laboratory of the Faculty of Law Brawijaya University ┬áin collaboration with the Indonesian Law Laboratory Association held a National Seminar and Symposium related to the Role of the Indonesian Supreme Court and the Attorney General’s Office in developing the Judicial Practice Proficiency Course in Indonesia on Friday, October 25, 2019.

The program was moderated by Dr. Nurini Aprilianda, SH., MH, and was attended by several presenters including Dr. Muchamad Ali Safa’at, SH., MH, as the Dean of FHUB as well as a state constitutional law expert, Dr. Sunarto, SH., MH as deputy chairman of the Indonesian Supreme Court on Non-Judicial Affairs, Dr. Mohamad Dofir, SH., MH as the Head of the East Java High State Prosecutor’s Office, Prof. Topo Santoso, SH., MH as the Advisory Board of the Indonesian Labolatorium and Law Clinic Association, as well as Drs. Syamsul Ma’arif, SH., LL.M., Ph.D as the justice of the Supreme Court.

Dr. Sunarto delivered some material related to the role of the Supreme Court and input for universities in developing the Judicial Practice Skills Course in Indonesia. Next Dr. Mohamad Dofir, SH., MH provided material related to the role of the prosecutor’s office in developing courses in the practice of justice in Indonesia. The third material was delivered by Prof. Topo Santoso, SH., MH. Delivering material related to legal laboratories, PLKH and the development of legal education in other countries, and concluded by Dr. Muchamad Ali Safa’at, SH., MH who delivered the standardization of Higher Education law. The closing of the material was continued with a question and answer session with participants, and ended with a group photo session.

This Seminar and Symposium was held in two sessions. The first session was held in Widyaloka Building Universitas Brawijaya, and the second session was held in the 6th floor Auditorium of Building A FHUB. Second Session with the theme of revitalizing the role of the Law Laboratory in law enforcement and development in Indonesia. (AZL)
