Malang, FH UB – The Faculty of Law Universitas Brawijaya (FH UB) and the State Administrative Court of Surabaya (PTUN Surabaya) collaborated by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday, May 25, 2023. 

The signing contained an academic collaboration program for FH UB, namely the implementation of the Freedom to Learn – Independent Campus (in Bahasa is known as, Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM)), which is planned to be held at PTUN Surabaya, East Java.

The signing of the MoU was attended by representatives from both institutions, namely Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.H., as the Dean of FH UB, and accompanied by several academicians. Meanwhile, PTUN Surabaya was represented by Tedy Romyadi, S.H., M.H., as the Head of PTUN Surabaya and accompanied by several representatives of PTUN Surabaya officials.

In this collaboration, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.H., expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that existed between the Faculty of Law at Universitas Brawijaya and PTUN Surabaya. He considered that the collaboration aimed to improve the quality of education at the two institutions.

Through this collaboration, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.H., hopes that in the future, the FH UB MBKM program that will take place at PTUN Surabaya can create many benefits, especially academic benefits, for the two institutions.

It is hoped that after establishing a cooperative relationship in the MBKM program, students who are currently studying or have been studying at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya, can have a good role at the PTUN Surabaya, thus producing excellent students for the benefit of society in the future.

Tedy Romyadi, S.H., M.H., also supports collaboration between the Faculty of Law at Universitas Brawijaya and PTUN Surabaya. According to him, this collaboration can make PTUN Surabaya a learning platform for FH UB students who want to explore the practice of resolving state administrative disputes through concrete cases. He also hopes that through this cooperation program, PTUN Surabaya can have a positive role or contribution in producing graduates of the Faculty of Law at Universitas Brawijaya who are reliable in practicing state administrative law in the future.
