The lecturers of UB’s International Law Department are led by Mrs. Hanif Nur Widhiyanti, S.H., M.Hum., Ph.D. as chairman of the department welcomed Mr. Iman Handono, S.H., L.L.M., Ph.D. (Chairman of the International Law Department of Airlangga University) and some students from the International Law Students Association (ILSA) Chapter UNAIR. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the possibility of holding a 3rd International Dispute Negotiation Competition (INTENTION) competition which was the original product of the ILSA Chapter UNAIR and the Department of International Law. INTENTION is an international dispute resolution negotiation competition open to all S-1 students in Indonesia, aiming to promote International Law.

By holding 3rd INTENTION 2018 in Faculty of Law Universitas Brawijaya, it is hoped besides can improve cooperation relation between both institution and also this competition, it is expected to become a popular competition among students, especially for law students all over Indonesia. In the discussion sessions confirmed by Mr. Imam “INTENTION is expected to be brought to various law faculties throughout Indonesia, so that this competition can be greater and become the original competition product from Indonesia in the field of international law”, he said.

It was also responded well and optimistic from the UB Fact of Law that can be host in this INTENTION event, of course in cooperation of the University of Airlangga as well as from UB Faculty of Law students who are members of ILSA Chapter UB and Forum International law. Excerpted from Mrs. Hanif “this is certainly possible for cooperation and assistance from students who will technically take part of this competition, so for the help of our students we are confident that this can be done well”.

Until finally, this limited meeting ended with an agreement that further technical and preparatory communication for this competition and a photo session would be held in the lobby of UB’s Law Faculty. [Afd / Humas]
