International Conference AIDRAN Biennial Conference Diversity and Disability Inclusion in Asia (ICDDA) Theorizing Advocacy and Research for Disability Policy and Social Inclusion: Experiences from Asia
Faculty of Law Brawijaya University holds an International Conference on Disability and Diversity in Asia, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Development Planning of the Republic of Indonesia (Bappenas), Australian Government, Knowledge Sector Initiative, La Trobe University, Center for Disability Study and Services of Universitas Brawijaya, and Australia-Indonesia Disability Research and Advocacy Network (AIDRAN). The international conference is a series of 57th Anniversary of Universitas Brawijaya, held on September 24th , 2019 until September 25th 2019, in 10th floor Building C, Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya.
The International Conference begins with the opening ceremony by Dr. Muchamad Ali Safa’at, S.H., M.H as the Dean of FHUB. Discussion material presented on policies and advocacy for persons with disabilities, implementation of policies for people with disabilities by the Indonesian government, Research for Disability Inclusion, Advocacy and Research for Psychosocial Disabilities, Mental Health perspective of the Australian state, Legal reform for disabilities to promote access to justice and challenges in the approach Human Rights based in Indonesia, Tuesday (9/24/2019). The series of events also consisted of panel discussions by seminar participants who were divided into groups taking place in the Session Room 6th floor Building C, Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya. The event ended with a discussion and dinner by seminar participants held in Batu City, Wednesday (9/25/2019).[AZL]
